Camden County Prosecutor Mary Eva Colalillo reported a plea Friday in the case of a robbery that turned into a killing on the streets of Camden.
Alexander Santiago, M/30, of the 400 block of Erie Street in Camden, pleaded guilty to Felony Murder Friday before Superior Court Judge Samuel Natal. The plea calls for a 30 year term of incarceration with no possibility of parole.
Santiago admitted to the stabbing death of William Ahing, a 46-year-old Camden man. Santiago stabbed the victim multiple times about 2:30 p.m. on the 500 block of State Street in Camden on January 13, 2013. Santiago was attempting to rob Ahing when he attacked him.
Santiago’s sentencing is scheduled for October 31.
